My Files Tab#

Available onDesigner LPC FamilyDesigner VLC FamilyExpressAcuity BrandsSome or all of the features in this topic are enabled on a per-portal basis.

The My Files tab allows a user to transfer files to multiple devices of the same model across different sites in the portal.

Add files#

Files can be added here by selecting to upload a file from your computer with Upload file, or by getting an existing file uploaded to the Files tab of a device the current user has permissions to see.

Once added, a name and description can be provided.

Transferring a file#

In the options drop down of a file, choose Transfer. In the following modal, select which devices across a portal you'd like the file to be transferred to, or check All matching devices to transfer it to all devices of that model from the list.

You can search for specific devices using the Select devices multi-select combination box.

Editing files#

Select the Edit or Delete settings in the Options drop down to adjust a file's name and description, or to delete it.
